Flies on you - Katie Hopkins in human form
Can I recommend you check out the new album, Etcetera, by Leeds based post-punkers Flies On You. Described by Louder Than War as being the "dark version of Half Man Half Biscuit" the duo are comprised of Doug Aikman and Andy Watkins and this will be their second full length. Their debut, Nothing To Write Home About having was released in 2012. Their influences range from punk acts like The Distillers and The Stranglers all the way to Yugoslav indie bands and 60's girl groups.
2013 saw them placed at number 13 in Dandelion Radio's John Peel inspired Festive 50 (with the track Josephine), you can pick up a multitude of versions of that for free on their bandcamp : http://fliesonyou.bandcamp.com/
Later this month they'll be sharing a stage with ex Fall members, Brix And The Extricated and they'll be touring throughout 2015 so if you like what you hare try and pop along.
From Etcetera, this is a song about twats that think they're above the rest of us and aren't backwards at coming forwards when it comes to pontificating from their ivory towers. It's called Katie Hopkins In Human Form.......
