GURS are 4 friends (Vocal: Kepa, Guitar: Barrio, Drums: Andrés, Bass: David) from Bilbao who forged a friendship in the Basque Country underground & political scene and who've just released a very impressive debut S/T ep. They take their name from the Gurs internment camp in France "where Basque prisoners where internemented, then also many Spanish anarchist & political prisoners during the Spanish Civil War."
The ep is a very catchy style of driving post-punk (influences include the likes of Litovsk, Daily Ritual, Bleakness, Short Days & The Estranged). Their lyrics are political in nature whilst their music is invigorating and will get you bouncing around.
You can get it on 7" vinyl (ltd to 500 copies), it's a joint release between Symphony Of Destruction and DDT
