Cosmit - Stranger

I miss Royal Headache. They were the Aussie garage rockers distinguished by great tunes and the soulful voice of Tim "Shogun" Wall who put out a couple of great albums before inter band conflict seemingly got the better of them. Today though I'm featuring a new 5 piece from Bristol who's mixing up of garage punk, Northern Soul, Motown and 60's pop dredges up memories of Sydney's finest.

Cosmit (https://www.facebook.com/itscosmit/) feature the talents of Jeremy Pitcher (Austeros), Steve Gayton (Austeros), Erica Freas (RVIVR), Max Cole (Toodles & The Hectic Pity) and Kay Stanley (Specialist Subject Records). They've just released a debut, Self Titled ep which contains 3 very good songs. There's a limited amount (300) on one sided black vinyl 7" available though if you want one there were only 19 left at the time of writing so be quick :   https://shop.specialistsubjectrecords.co.uk/products/665622-cosmit-s-t-7

It's also available as a name your price download here : https://cosmit.bandcamp.com/album/cosmit

Any of the 3 tracks would have been worthy of highlighting so I'll play a different one on this week's Just Some Punk Songs show (later today at 8pm (GMT), get in the chatroom if you want to discuss the track as it plays : https://www.facebook.com/events/258754441812032/).

 This one's called Stranger...
