Rancid - Ghost of A Chance

I've mentioned before that the aim of Just Some Punk Songs is to both educate and entertain (it wasn't the original aim as I didn't envisage anyone wanting to check out a bunch of punk songs that I was collecting together for my own entertainment but 300,000 visits down the line that's what the blog has evolved into). I'm guessing by now you've all noticed that Rancid have delivered one hell of a calling card to announce their forthcoming album so today rather than educate, it's just a case of entertainment all round and posting up a song that deserves to be here.

You all know that Rancid have been together for 25 years, line up with Tim, Lars, Matt and Branden and have been responsible some of punk music's greatest releases (my favourite being 2000's s/t). By now most of you will be aware that the new album is called Trouble Maker and it'll be out on June 9th. If you want to pre order now it then head this way..... http://rancidrancid.com/

In support of the album they'll be spending much of the summer touring with the likes of Green Day, Dropkick Murphys, Bouncing Souls, The Selecter etc. Check out details on Facebook....  https://www.facebook.com/rancid/

So what can we expect from the album? No doubt more of the usual catchy street punk singalongs that we've become accustomed to over the years. Roll on June 9th! Below is the first of the 19 new tracks to see the light of day, upbeat, snappy and very good, this is Ghost Of A Chance.....
