Würst Nürse (https://www.facebook.com/wurstnurseband) are from Melbourne and lay claim to being the world's first and best nurse punk band. They formed in 2016, released debut ep Hot Hot Hot in 2018 and are preparing for the release of a new ep titled The Würst Nürse Curse. Today's song is a taste of what to expect.
As you may notice from their song titles (Dedication Doesn't Pay The Rent, Hot Doctor, Fresh Outta Bedpans...) there's a common theme running through their lyrics. They aren't afraid to utilise humour to make a serious point.
This song deals with the rise in abuse against healthcare workers both in and out of the workplace. The band are calling for a bit of respect for their fellow workers, they don't need glorifying as heroes, just treating as human beings.
