Scandal - This Is London (ft. Carlos Foamer)
No strangers to this blog, Scandal (https://www.facebook.com/scandalstreetpunk/) are a street punk band that formed in Romania back in 1998 and who have been based in London since 2016. Since moving to the UK they've released 3 impressive eps and a very good album (2018's On A Roll) (https://scandalstreetpunk.bandcamp.com/) and now they begin 2020 with a new single.
Since their last ep, the 5 Seconds To Riot ep, they've undergone a few line up changes. Stepping in on vocals is Brendan O'Prey whilst Andreas Madway returns on guitar and backing vocals. They join Vlad Octavian (bass/backing vocals) and Gigi GM (drums). Also guesting on the new song is Carlos Carlin from The Foamers (https://unknownrecordsofficial.bandcamp.com/album/six-pints-none-the-wiser-tent-002-u-r-028).
Produced by former Vibrators bassist Pat Collier, the single will feature on a split 7" ep with São Paulo band SUBALTERNOS (https://www.facebook.com/bandasubalternos/). It comes with a video shot on the streets of their adopted home city by Mark Richards and despite the change of vocalist it's still the same catchy, anthemic sound we've come to expect from them. It's called This Is London...
