UK Dissent (https://www.facebook.com/ukdissent) are a punk rock trio from the north east of England featuring a line up of Mick Hall (guitar/vocals), Chris Ashcroft (drums/backing vocals) & Chris Marner (bass/backing vocals).
They're a band that aren't trying to reinvent the wheel, they play good, old school anthemic punk rock and sit nicely alongside fellow north easterners such as Crashed Out, Kickback Generation, Red Alert etc. (They'll be supporting Red Alert on 27th May in Sunderland).
They've just released a Self Titled debut album and if melodic street punk with a socio political edge is your cup of tea you'll want to check it out (It's available on cd for £8 on the band's Facebook page).
This is a highlight and it should strike a chord with anyone reading this blog, it's called Punk Rock In Our Veins...
