Twin Pigs - Idiot Clap

  

  Twin Pigs (https://www.facebook.com/twinpigspunk) are a band I've played a few times on recent shows due to them releasing one of the best albums so far in 2022 and I think it's about time that I featured a song on here. 

  They're from Stockholm and they've been around since 2015 but it's only with the release of the new album that I've been lucky enough to hear them. The album goes by the glorious title of Godspeed, Little Shit-Eater and it's very fine indeed. 

  The band line up thus; Hanna Engström (keys and vocals), Andreas Litfeldt (drums), Erik Melin (vocals) & Canan Rosén (guitar/vocals). They're tagged as hardcore punk rock and they certainly owe a lot to that genre but at the same time they aren't constricted by that tag as they aren't afraid to experiment and push those boundaries. 

  Lyrically, they're pretty damn sharp. For example they'll express their dismay at the Americanisation of modern day life by commenting "Now, for the main event: The new American experience. Illustrated by Marilyn Manson: Removing his own rib. So he can suck his own dick. Get off and swallow his own shit." Or they'll comment on the First World problems of deciding between Pepsi or Coke or about everything being commodified. They bemoan Discount nudes on Onlyfans and porn bot friend requests.
