Sprints - Kissing Practice

This week's Just Some Punk Songs show went down very well with those that were in the chatroom with the 2 most popular songs being by Coriky (the latest band to feature Minor Threat/Fugazi's Ian MacKaye) and a fresh faced young band based in Dublin called Sprints. It's the latter of those that I'm featuring today...

Sprints (https://www.facebook.com/sprintsmusic/) are an alt rock/post punk 4 piece that look to have been together for around a year and have recently released their third single (the first 2 were Pathetic and The Cheek). They line up with KC (Vocals, Guitar), Colm (Lead Guitar, Vocals), Sam (Bass, Vocals) and Jack (Drums). In my humble opinion, each of the singles has improved on the previous one so whilst the latest is a delight, hopes are extremely high for future releases (they're hoping to release a couple more singles this year). Whilst not being your archetypal punk rock band, they're exactly the sort of new blood the scene needs if it's to stay relevant into the 20's. You can check out all 3 singles here : https://sprintsmusic.bandcamp.com/

This is a fast paced and very catchy song about the mundanity and monotany of everyday life. It's about getting stuck in a rut and it's called Kissing Practice...
