The Culture Industry - Dying In The Streets

The Culture Industry hail from Wollongong in Australia which (not so) coincidentally is the home city of Wreckless Enterprise (https://www.facebook.com/wrecklessenterprise/), the new record label who's co owner Ronny Van Dyk selected a Top 10 for this blog a few days ago. I mentioned in that update that the label would soon be releasing Volume 2 of their Short Fuse compilation series and The Culture Industry will be one of the bands featured.

They're a 3 piece with a line up of Gnarly (guitars/vocals), Nagy (bass/vocals) and Leemoss (drums/vocals). They've been around since 2014 and play a mix of garage, punk and grunge. They released their debut album in May, it's titled Who Are We All? and you can find it here :   https://thecultureindustry.bandcamp.com/album/who-are-we-all

For more info on the band, including details of their upcoming Dying In The Streets tour go here :   https://www.facebook.com/thecultureindustryband/

They've just released a new video of one of the songs from the album, it's "dedicated to people in this country that are less fortunate than you" and it shines a light on the plight of their country's homeless population. Fast and angry, it's titled Dying In The Streets...

Dying in the streets
and no one even cares
you see it every day
why don't you fuckin' care?

we're all cryin'
they're all lyin'
and we're dying in the streets

dying in the streets
