Phone Jerks - Three Jobs
I was surprised, when I checked, that I've not featured anything by Phone Jerks on here before especially as it was over 2 years ago that I played their song Bomb At The Causeway (from the Goodbye Boozy released ...Can't Stand the Maritimes ep) on the show. I also played at least one song from their excellent 2018 self titled album but again let them slip through the cracks as far as the blog is concerned. Happily there'll be no such oversight this time around...
Proclaiming proudly that they're adults playing 3 chords slightly out of tune and charging $5 at the door for it, Phone Jerks are a budget rock party band that formed in 2014 as a Supercharger cover band. They're from Moncton, New Brunswick and they're preparing to release a new album titled 10x10. It'll drop on October 18th via Alien Snatch! records and you can pre order the limited edition (250 copies) 10" vinyl + digital album here : https://aliensnatch.bandcamp.com/album/phone-jerks-10x10

This is the opening track, it's a gloriously trashy blast of primitive garage fun. A must listen for anyone who enjoyed the recent Control Freaks album, it's about having an overworked girl that you don't get to see enough of and it's called Three Jobs...
