Foxcunt - (Bring Back) BSE

Foxcunt are a punk band. Their personal interests are Art, Punk, Cider & Riot. Whilst choosing their name they probably weren't expecting to get much exposure on Radio 1, luckily there's little old blogs like this one that don't mind the odd bit of effing, jeffing and cunting.

They're from London and feature a line up of Sean Clothier (guitar), Chris Damage (electric violin, vocals, design) Ally Moss (vocals, occasional guitar), Melissa Reardon (drums) and Kat Stevens (bass). They've been releasing music for 3 years, Melissa used to be in The Wimmins' Institute and I don't know much else about them other than they've just released a rather spiffing video for one of the songs off their debut album. The album's called A Visit From Foxcunt and it's out tomorrow :   https://foxcunt.bandcamp.com/album/a-visit-from-foxcunt

There's a couple of songs already streaming, I played one on the show a couple of months ago, it's called Anxiety Dream and it's unsurprisingly about having bad dreams about stuff like getting chased by unpaid bills or your rhythm section kicking you out of your band. It's very good. Even better is the other song, it's a plea to bring back stuff from back in the day like Love Thy Neighbour, potato famines, degenerative brain diseases and kids down the mines. It's enjoyably humorous and will quite probably feature on this week's show (unless there's an even better song streaming tomorrow!) It's titled (Bring Back) BSE...
