Today's song is another new one, it's by a band called La Misma and despite their name (it's Spanish for "the same"), and their lyrics being sung in Portuguese, they're actually from New York City.
They introduced themselves in 2013 with a demo and a 2 track cassette and followed these up last year with a s/t 7". They recently released debut album Kanizadi (on La Vida Es Un Mus in Europe and Toxic State in the US). Their sound is a kind of hardcore punk that doesn't allow itself to be restricted by the constraints of the hardcore punk genre. The album's been picking up some great reviews, pretty much all of them praising the vocal performance of front woman Nay Vieira-Rosario.
