The Hallingtons - I Met The Mothman

I don't think I've posted much in the way of pop punk recently so let's rectify that today.

The Hallingtons (https://www.facebook.com/hallingtons) are a trio from Oslo. They've been on here a few times previously and have been one of my favourite purveyors of this kind of catchy punk tuneage. This was their first appearance https://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2016/05/the-hallingtons-running-from-ussr.html

Last November saw them release an album titles No Plan. It was definitely a case of if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Songs about girls and various Sci-Fi shenanigans, it was crammed with hooks and harmonies. You can check it out here : https://thehallingtons.bandcamp.com/album/no-plan

They've just posted a video for one of the songs, it's about an encounter with a legendary winged humanoid creature with glowing red eyes. As I recently read a novel by Hunter Shea titled Shadow Of The Mothman it kind of struck a chord. This is I Met The Mothman...

The Hallingtons - Becky's On E

It's been quiet on here for the last few days due to a workman cutting through a cable up the road and the ensuing power cut causing a surge which blew my pc's power pack. All sorted now though and back with a top tune.

It's a song from Hop Til' You Drop, the debut album by Ramones worshippers The Hallingtons (https://www.facebook.com/hallingtons). They're not a new band, they've released a number of eps and featured on this blog 3 times previously. This however is their first long player and just like those previous releases, it's a blast. The band are from Oslo and the line up is Mikel (bass/vocals), Jørgen (guitar/vocals) and Tor (drums/vocals).

13 pop punk cuts about Godzilla, girls, UFO's...If you like this kind of pop punk, you'll be adding the album to your favourites list. You can get it on very limited white vinyl from Monster Zero Records (as I type this there's only 9 copies left so be quick)  https://monsterzerorecords.com/products/hallingtons-the-hop-til-you-drop-lp-limited-white-vinyl

Or you can get the digital version here :

Impossible to select a favourite so I'll go with a song that's dumb, fun and very infectious. This is Becky's On E...

The Hallingtons - Pretty Neat

(Photo: Frode Skjold)

As promised, here'a another winner from Monster Zero Records...

The Hallingtons are the Ramones/Lillingtons/Riverdales/Teenage Bottlerocket loving pop punk 3 piece from Oslo who line up with Tor Hallington (drums/vocals), Mikel Hallington (Bass/vocals) and Jørgen Hallington (guitar&vocals). They formed in 2010 and have been releasing catchy 1-2-3-4 type songs ever since. They've been on here once before back in 2016 when they were running from the USSR (https://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2016/05/the-hallingtons-running-from-ussr.html) and they return today (possibly still out of breath but free from pursuit) with a track from their new ep, The Hexed. It's their 3rd on Monster Zero, it features 6 snappy tracks about good girls, bad girls and super annoying girls and you can get it on vinyl here :   https://monsterzerorecords.com/products/hallingtons-the-hexed-ep

  Digitally, it's available here : https://thehallingtons.bandcamp.com/

You can get more info on them, including details of their appearance at next year's Puke Fest, here :   https://www.facebook.com/hallingtons/

This is the 2nd video they've released from the ep (Jesus Freak being the first (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68he-W-suBQ). It's simple and very cool and compliments the song well. The song is fast and super catchy and is your stereotypical boy likes girl type song that's great when like on this occasion it's done well. It's called Pretty Neat...

The Hallingtons - Running from the USSR

Damn, this is so infectious. The Hallingtons are old school pop punkers from Oslo who've been releasing great music since 2010. Songs like Alien Girl, The Avenger, All She Did Was Lie (to name just a few) are the sort of Ramones influenced gems that once heard will lodge themselves in your brain and demand repeat plays. Now I'm very happy to report that their latest ep is out on Monster Zero Records and it'll also burrow it's way inside your head. If I were you I'd stop reading immediately and go check out their bandcamp : http://thehallingtons.bandcamp.com/

If there's anyone still here, I'll just mention that they line up Mikel Hallington (bass, vocals), J. Hallington (guitar, vocals) and T.E. Hallington (drums, vocals). The new ep is called Running From The USSR, it contains 4 tracks (Why Can't You Be With Me is a classic that only misses out on being posted below due to the mega catchy chorus of the title track so don't miss that one too) and it's highly recommended......
