Los Pepes - Sick And Bored

London's power pop kings Los Pepes are back today with a song from a new album that seems to have sneaked out with little fanfare. Maybe all the much deserved praise will begin at the end of this week as that's when it's down for release on the labels Bandcamp page but as it's streaming already I'm going to post one of the tracks today.

The band line up with Ben Perrier (Vocals/Guitar), Seisuke Nakagawa (Bass/Vocals), Guilherme Rujao (Guitar/Vocals) & Kris "Killer" Kowalski (Drums) and it's fair to say that any new release from them comes with a guarantee it'll be catchy as hell. The new album is no exception.

It's titled The Happiness Programme, it features both tracks from the excellent single they released earlier this year (Want You Back/Never Get It Right) plus 10 new compositions that are equally as good. Their best release yet? I'll need a few more listens before I can decide but it's certainly up there with their very best. It's available through Spanish label Snap Records on double mint vinyl and digital download : https://snaprecordsspain.bandcamp.com/album/los-pepes-the-happines-program-funlp-039

I could have pretty much picked any of the songs to highlight but I'm going with Sick And Bored...

Los Pepes - The Trap

Los Pepes claim to be possibly the loudest power pop band on Earth and going off the evidence presented by their new video (below), I wouldn't disagree with them.

From London, they've already had 3 songs featured on here and you can find them, along with the rest of their back catalogue here : https://lospepes.bandcamp.com/

April sees the band returning with album number 3, it's coming out on Wands Records and will be titled Lets Go! It's going to feature 10 new tracks and if the first song from the album is any indication we can look forward to more of their trademark catchy tunes but this time around Los Pepes are going to rock out just that little bit harder than previously.

To help promote the album, April and May will see them touring Europe, all dates are on Facebook... https://www.facebook.com/lospepesmusic/

Los Pepes - Say Goodbye

Los Pepes, London's premier power pop outfit featured on this blog last October when I posted a song from their highly acclaimed debut long player, Los Pepes For Everyone (http://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.co.uk/2014/10/los-pepes-guilty-pleasures.html).

Aside from basking in the warm glow of all the praise that the album garnered they've been busy working on a new ep which is entitled And I Know/Say Goodbye and which is now available on Wanda Records (http://lospepes.bandcamp.com/).

Featuring Ben Perrier (vocals/guitar), Gui Rujao (guitar/vocals), Seisuke Nakagawa (bass/vocals) and Shaun Clarke (drums), they've produced 4 more tracks of harmonious and extremely catchy garage rock and roll that will see them build on the success of their previous releases. If you're in Germany during the second half of May be sure to catch them on their tour of that country.

Los Pepes - Guilty Pleasures

I thought I'd posted Tonight by London outfit Los Pepes a few months ago but a quick search shows that I hadn't so I'll make up for my forgetfulness by adding a  track from their brand new, debut album. Brought up on a diet of Johnny Thunders and The Boys they play a garage tinged brand of power pop that will have you rocking out and singing along. They emerged in 2012 with an introductory demo and followed it up a year later with the No S.O.S. 7". 2014 began with a split single with Ladykillers and then single number 2, Tonight. Taking things to the next level, they've just released Los Pepes For Everyone, their 12 track, catchy as hell, album on the excellent Wanda Records. I could have chosen any of the tracks to post, they're all great, but I'll go with the infectious Guilty Pleasures......
