EK.Decay - Smash The System

Here's a song that I heard for the first time yesterday that had me wanting to pogo around like the punks in the accompanying video.

EK.Decay formed in 2013 in the Scottish town of East Kilbride with a mission statement to "keep it real, don't hold back and to sing about everyday life." Their name is a reference to the state of their locale, a commentary on the corruption and decay that abound. The members of the band are David Middleton (Midi), Rab Newell (bass), John Hunter (guitar) and Jamie Barnes (drums).

Despite their relatively short time together, they've already built up a sizeable and enthusiastic fan base who are embracing their idea fuelled modern take on the classic punk rock sound. Don't be surprised if you see coach loads of them following the band around the country to "away" gigs.

First up record wise was the Corruption ep and this was followed by the 2014 release of debut album No Hope (from which today's song is taken). You can order the album for a fiver here : http://ekdecay.weebly.com/ and listen to more songs on their youtube channel : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCL7JyhRAOS7_jUA-X2vQ3Qg

I hope you enjoy this song as much as I do, this is Smash The System.....
