Apéro - I Hate Fascist Billionaires

It's always a good start to the day when you wake up and then discover some great new music before breakfast.

Apéro are an anti-fascist egg punk band from both Hamburg (Germany) and Sénas (France). They line up like this; Rock (Synth, Vocals, Percussion), Kris Kandinsky (Bass, Vocals) & Kem Trail (Guitar, Vocals).

They've just released an album titled Cold Drinks, Cool Snacks and it's a thing of beauty. Aggressive budget priced synths and shouty vocals. Just when it seemed obvious that Nevermind, Whatever by Xray Xeroxx (https://xrayxeroxx.bandcamp.com/album/nevermind-whatever) was going to walk away with the accolade of best egg punk release of the summer, Apéro come out of nowhere as serious rivals.

Lots of great songs to choose from but I'm going with this one. It's called I Hate Fascist Billionaires...

 I hate fascist billionaires
 I don't know why
Last night i met one on the street
I had to to start a fight
 I hate fascist billionaires
 They have too much power
 I got no money
 They own the Eiffel tower
 Go away
 I hate fascist billionaires
 Each and everyone
 Go build your rockets
 And shoot into the sun
 I hate fascist billionaires
I like cold drinks and cool snacks
 But everything i buy
 Adds more to their bank
 Go away

Stalins Of Sound - Monkeys Attack

I'm going away for a few days holiday so this will be the last update till weekend, it's another of the better tracks to be released this year and it's by San Diego's Stalins Of Sound. They released their debut, self titled, ep in 2010, followed it up a year later with a second ep (Pool Of Piranha) before returning this year with a debut album, on Slovenly Records, called Tank Tracks. Originally there was just vocalist/guitarist Hadi Fever and a drum machine but he was joined by bassist Dave Masur (aka Davie Deathmetal) before the line up was completed with the pounding keyboards of Jimmy The Worm. Comparisons to the likes of Devo and The Spits often crop up in the descriptions of the band's sound and as today's song, Monkeys Attack, shows, those comparisons aren't a million miles wide of the mark.....
