The Jasons - Murder On My Mind

You may remember a few days ago I posted a new single by SACK (https://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2022/05/sack-wet-banana.html) and mentioned how much I missed The Lillingtons. It'll probably not come as a surprise therefore that I'm looking forward to the release of a compilation album titled Back To Lillington High which is a 23 track tribute to Wyoming's pop punk legends. Amongst the artists involved are Just Some Punk Songs favourites such as J Prozac, The Young Rochelles, The Jasons, Covert Flops & Black Russians and they're joined by plenty of other cool bands.

The cd and cassette versions of the comp will be available via Buzzkilld Records and you can grab them here : https://buzzkilldrecords.bigcartel.com/products

New Jersey Friday The 13th worshippers The Jasons (https://www.facebook.com/thejasonsband) have 2 songs on the comp, one is a cover of Buddy Holly's Oh Boy (which The Lillingtons covered for their Shit Out Of Luck album  https://thelillingtons.bandcamp.com/album/shit-out-of-luck) whilst the other featured on the classic Death By Television lp (https://thelillingtons.bandcamp.com/album/death-by-television).

A perfect song for The Jasons to cover, this is Murder On My Mind...

Starlight time the sun went down,
The moon is rising through the trees,
Throughout the dark the scene is set,
Trick or treat it's Halloween,
The kids all got their costumes on,
Well I've got mine on too,
Just escaped from the looney bin,
I'm coming after you,
Cause I-I-I-I-I-I-I got murder on my,
Mi-i-i-i-i-ind got murder on my,
Mi-i-i-i-i-ind got murder on my,
Mi-i-i-i-i-ind got murder on my mind,
Take my time it makes it fun,
That's why I don't use a gun,
Hockey mask upon my head,
I won't stop until you're dead,

The Jasons - Murder at the Jarvis House

They say that good things sometimes come from tragedy
Well baby, this ain't one of those times...

A welcome back to Just Some Punk Songs to "four mongoloid brothers pissing people off with their immature antics and playing pure Red-Blooded American Punk Rock from Crystal Lake!"

That's right, Friday The 13th obsessives The Jasons (https://www.facebook.com/thejasonsband) have a new release. They've been stalking and slashing their way through the pop punk scene since their 2014 S/T debut album, writing songs about the blood thirsty movie franchise with titles such as We're Gonna Ki-Ki-Ki- Kill That Girl, You Should Never Have Reopened That Camp, Mommy Got Beheaded By A Bimbo etc... Not only do they do pop punk exactly as it should be done (catchy as hell but with more emphasis on punk than pop), they're great fun.

Their new release is the Jarvis House ep. The Jarvis House features in Friday the 13th Part 4: The Final Chapter and sees Jason Voorhees escaping from the morgue and returning to Crystal Lake to continue his killing spree. The ep features 4 tracks, 2 new and a couple of re recorded favourites from the band's 2016 Get Fucked album.

The first ever Jasons 7" release, available in different ltd edition vinyl variants (several of which are already sold out), is available from Moms Basement Records  https://momsbasementrecords.bigcartel.com/product/the-jasons-jarvis-house-7-ep

This is the lead track, it's classic Jasons. Turn out the lights, let the screaming start, this is Murder At The Jarvis House...

The Jasons - Scene Police

Four mongoloid brothers pissing people off with their immature antics and playing pure Red-Blooded American Punk Rock from Crystal Lake! Thus goes the description they give themselves on Facebook. They of course being Jason V (lead singer/lead guitar), Jason 3D (bass/backing vocals), Jason Hell (drums/backing vocals) and Jason R (aka Hollywood) (lead guitar/backing vocals). Collectively known as The Jasons, they're the Ramones/Teenage Bottlerocket/Screeching Weasel/Riverdales/Queers influenced punk band that have been slicing and dicing their way through the scene since 2014. They've just released a new album but before I get to that here's a link to their previous releases... https://thejasons4.bandcamp.com/

So the new album is titled Blood In The Streets and it's pretty much what you'd expect or want from the band. 14 tracks of catchy horror themed punk with harmonies galore and lyrics about Camp Crystal Lake, Vera Sanchez (the girl who got a spear in the eye), wheelchair bound Mark who got a machete in the face and jacking off to Dee Dee Ramone. A fun album, all done in the best possible taste.  They've a lengthy US tour coming up to support the album and you can check out dates here :   https://www.facebook.com/thejasonsband/

This song is a definite highlight, it's called Scene Police...

The Jasons - New Wave Girl

Hailing from Egg Harbour Township, New Jersey, The Jasons are a fun horror punk band featuring 4 hockey masked dudes who go by the names Jason V (lead vocals/lead guitar), Jason 3D (bass/backing vocals), Jason Hell (drums/backing vocals) and Jason R (lead guitar/backing vocals). As you'll no doubt have figured out, they're influenced by Friday the 13th as well as all your favourite old school pop punk bands (Ramones, Screeching Weasel, Queers, Teenage Bottlerocket, etc etc etc). They also wouldn't turn down an invitation to share a stage with Kiss.

They've been stalking, slashing, killing and eating pizza for a couple of years now and you can check out their releases, including their latest album, Get Fucked, here :  https://thejasons4.bandcamp.com/.

A killer song about Violet Anne Morainie,  who suffered a grizzly death in Friday The 13th : A New Beginning,  this is New Wave Girl.......
