TV Crime - Never Been In Love

I bloody knew it. Right from the killer intro to the first ever song I heard from them back in March 2016 I just knew TV Crime were awesome. I knew Hooligans was just the start of a love affair I was going to have with the band. I didn't know much about them other than they were a 3 piece from Nottingham and I honestly don't know too much more about them now other than they gained an extra member along the way and that I was right, they are awesome. From that first song (https://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2016/03/tv-crime-hooligans.html), through subsequent singles and now onto a stunning debut album, I was bloody well right! Then again anyone with fully functioning ears and a modicum of taste could have told you the same thing.

So the new album. It's titled Metal Town, it's available on vinyl in Europe from German label Alien Snatch Records (http://www.aliensnatch.de/) and in the UK from TV CRIME Big Cartel (https://tvcrime.bigcartel.com/). It's also on Bandcamp : https://tvcrime.bandcamp.com/album/metal-town

To promote the album they're touring round Europe for the next couple of months and dates are on the photo at the top of this update. For more info go here :   https://www.facebook.com/TELEVISIONCRIME/

Highlights from the album? To be honest, there's 13 of them. It's riff-tastic garage rock with it's roots in the 70's but which takes those influences and leaves us with a fresh sounding, catchy as hell record that sounds timeless. Album of the year contender? Hell yeah! This song is called Never Been In Love....

TV Crime - In The Gutter

Hopefully TV Crime don't mind me uploading their songs to Youtube so I can share them with you guys on here. I seem to have done it a few times now (I did wait a couple of days to see if they'd do it themselves but my enthusiasm has overridden my patience so today they're once again the subject of my gushing praise).

Hopefully you know by now that they're a garage punk band from Nottingham, the line up features S Henchman, J Guilty, L Mosslad and P Franklyn and they're one of the best British bands around at the moment (actually scrub the word British from that last sentence, they're one of the best bands around, period).

You can get more info on their Facebook page  https://www.facebook.com/TELEVISIONCRIME/ but basically they've a short European tour lined up later in the summer (dates in the photo at the top of this update) and then they'll be releasing their debut lp (definitely looking forward to that!).

To tide us over whilst we eagerly await the album, they've released a new song, you can find it here : https://tvcrime.bandcamp.com/track/in-the-gutter  It'll be getting a play, along with a bunch of other great new releases, on the Just Some Punk Songs show later today :  https://www.facebook.com/events/277502763004142/

Damn, they're good!  Spread the word and get them heard. This is In The Gutter...

Tv Crime - Clocking In

TV Crime are the Nottingham newcomers that crashed last year's Just Some Punk Songs' best of 2016 chart with debut single Hooligans (it was an impressive number 4). It wasn't just me that loved the record though, it seemed to be universally adored so hopes for future releases were very high. Happily enough their new single doesn't disappoint.

There'll be a 7" soon (as well as a debut album at some point). It'll be out on Static Shock Records and available through Drunken Sailor Records. For now you can check out the 2 tracks, Clocking In & Clocking Out over on Bandcamp  https://tvcrime.bandcamp.com/album/clocking-in-b-w-clocking-out

They tag themselves as northern soul punk and listening to the new single I can definitely catch similarities with another great band, Royal Headache. I think it's fair to say they're one of the UK'S most promising new talents.

  This is Clocking In....

TV Crime - Hooligans

A new band to me today, TV Crime are a 3 piece from Nottingham who line up with S Henchman, J Guilty and J Mosslad and who have just released what I think is their debut single. It's a very promising slice of power pop featuring a couple of tracks, Hooligans and Wild One and you can check it out here : http://tvcrime.bandcamp.com/releases

They claim to have "killer tunes shitty attitude" and going by the power pop gem below, I wouldn't argue too much with that. This is called Hooligans.....
