Riot City Radio - Spitting Teeth

Plymouth street punks Riot City Radio (https://www.facebook.com/riotcityradio) first featured on Just Some Punk Songs back in 2019 when I posted their first ever song  (https://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2019/05/riot-city-radio-stand-strong.html). They've been popping up on here every couple of years or so since then.

This time around they're back with a track from their upcoming 2nd album, Spitting Teeth. The album will be available on vinyl (100 black, 200 trans-red with black/white splatter, 200 ultraclear with red color in color and splatter) via Sunny Bastards Records   https://store.sunnybastards.de/Musik/Vinyl/Riot-City-Radio-Spitting-Teeth-LP-red-with-black-white-Splatter-Vinyl::7119.html

It'll be out on March 27th and it's bound to be one of the year's catchiest releases.

This is the title track, it's called Spitting Teeth...

Riot City Radio - On the Streets

EVERY WOMAN EVERY MAN
EVERYONE WHO CAN
PUT DOWN YOUR PHONE
PICK UP YOUR BANNER...

Top notch street punk/oi for you today from Plymouth trio Riot City Radio (https://www.facebook.com/riotcityradio/). They've featured on here a couple of times previously, boast members of bands such as Hostile Minds, Arch Rivals, Hard Wax etc and are one of those special breed of acts that never seem to put out a bad song.

Their songs are usually about the kind of topics you'd expect from this sort of band, if you check out the titles on their debut album Time Will Tell, you'll know exactly what you're in for; 'Punk Rock Family', 'Never Forgive, Never Forget', 'Overcome', 'Practice What You Preach', 'Reap What You Sow' etc. There's even a track titled 'Working Class Anthem' in which they proclaim "This is our anthem, sing it now." Pretty regulation subjects to cover but performed with great gusto in exactly the manner you want from this genre. Catchy as hell, singalong earworms that'll disappoint no one.

It's available on vinyl from Sunny Bastard Records (180gr deluxe vinyl imitations on 500 copies in these colours: 100pcs black, 200pcs white/black marbled, 200pcs clear with white/grey/black/ silver splatter) and on cd...  https://store.sunnybastards.de/Dont-Panic-Soli-Aktion/Riot-City-Radio-Time-will-tell-LP-white-black-marbled-Vinyl-limited-200-copies::5104.html

Wanna try before you buy, check out the songs on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_kg-yWKIs1DXfD3fAJs2XRq7LdB4VT3pDE

This is a track they've released a video for, it's a timely song of which the band say "Sadly due to the state of both national and international politics it seems more relevant today then when we wrote it over a year ago..." It's called On The Streets...

Riot City Radio - Anchor In The Storm

"...so I'll make through the dark days, I'll make it through the storm, it's what I always do, I've done before.."

The song I'm posting today is one that I played on the Just Some Punk Songs show towards the end of last year. Even earlier than that, I featured the first song recorded by the band on this blog (https://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2019/05/riot-city-radio-stand-strong.html). Now both of those songs, plus a couple more have made their way onto the band's debut ep. The band is Riot City Radio.

If you haven't come across them yet, they're a 3 piece street punk band from Plymouth with a line up of Matt Colton (Bass/Vocals), Tom Boutwood (Drums/Vocals) and Tom Murphy (Guitar/Vocals). If those names sound familiar you may have heard them from other bands such as Hostile Minds, Arch Rivals, Hard Wax and Dead Legions. The ep is titled Anchor In The Storm and it's available on 4 limited edition coloured vinyls from Sunny Bastards : https://shop.sunnybastards.de/

If you like your music to be heartfelt and anthemic and feature big sing along choruses then this is a release you should pay attention to. It's working class punk music, melodic oi with the occasional dash of ska. It's very catchy but still hits hard. This is the title track, Anchor In The Storm...

Riot City Radio - Stand Strong

Riot City Radio are a new street punk 3 piece from Plymouth who's line up features Matt Colton (bass/vocals), Tom Boutwood (drums/vocals) and Tom Murphy (guitar/vocals). The members are also in, or have previously been in the likes of Hostile Minds, Arch Rivals and Hard Wax. As they've only recently formed there's not yet much info on them on Facebook but go give them a like anyway https://www.facebook.com/riotcityradio/

Below you'll see the first track from the band. As you might expect from their previous projects the trio turn out a well produced, big sounding working class anthem with a killer chorus and oi oi chants that the boots and braces crowd can sing along with. I look forward to hearing more.

  This is Stand Strong...
