Danger!man - Onions
Oslo punks Danger!man are back today with a track from their upcoming new album, Weapons Of Mass-Distraction. Forming in 2009 and taking inspiration from 80's hardcore they last featured on here 3 years ago with a song from their excellent split release with fellow Norwegians Lucky Malice (https://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2016/06/dangerman-never-black-never-white.html). You can download the split and their other releases here for free : http://www.dangerman.no/
The new album is due out on 27th September, you can pre order it on limited edition coloured vinyl (with cd included) from Boss Tuneage (be quick, there's only 200 copies) http://bosstuneage.bigcartel.com/product/danger-man-weapons-of-mass-distraction-lp-with-cd-included and you can stream a couple of tracks here : https://bosstuneagerecords.bandcamp.com/album/weapons-of-mass-distraction
To help promote the album they've a number of gigs lined up:
This is one of the teaser tracks they've shared, it certainly does the trick of stoking up anticipation for the full album. It's a pacy, gruff voiced and very good indeed. It's called Onions...

Top 10 Songs Chosen By Roger Andreassen (Danger!Man)
Today I'm pleased to bring you the latest in a growing list of top 10's, slightly different today though in that due to a communication breakdown and some shoddy arithmatic I was sent a top 12 albums list! Not to worry though as it's a very decent list and I'll just select a song from each lp as a means to highlight the album's greatness.
Roger Andreassen is a member of top Norwegian punk/hardcore band Danger!man. I posted a song by them and gave a little info a while back ( http://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.co.uk/2016/06/dangerman-never-black-never-white.html ) and you can check out their music (free) here : http://www.dangerman.no/ If you like what you here then maybe consider tracking down the vinyl versions.
Anyway, onto Roger's top 10......
1) LEATHERFACE - Mush
Was an instant classic this one. When it came out we seriously considered to stop playing in bands. It just couldn't be done better. So inspiring songwriting. I even had to buy a second copy of MUSH, as the first one was played to death!
2) CIRCLE JERKS - Group Sex
The Circle Jerks was the first US hardcore band I ever saw live (in '83). They definitely set the standard! I had pretty much given up on punk at the time, but they inspired me to go home and start a band again!
3) SHAM 69 - That's Life
The first SHAM LP I bought, and it stayed on my turntable for a loooong time! All hits. Sounds just as great today as it did back when it came out.
4) TOXIC REASONS - Independance
Always an Oslo- party-favourite this one. Mercenary and Drunk & Disorderly on repeat!
5) FEAR - The Album
Their best album, and sounds like nothing else from that time. Controversial, unconventional and FUN!
6) ZERO BOYS - Vicious Circle
Anthem after anthem on this one. Seriously catchy, with that clean sharp guitarsound that really stands out.
7) LEWD - American Wino
These Americans really made an impact on the norwegian hardcore/punk scene with this album. It inspired so many early bands! So Much Hate covered "Dressed in black", and Turbonegro covered "Mobile home" on records. The record was SERIOUSLY hard to find for ages, and I'm glad to se that the recent re-print has made it available to punks again.
8) FALSE PROPHETS - False Prophets
Was lucky enough to see these guys live a couple of times. Amazing live-band! Their first LP almost manages to capture the bands punkrock/freakshow/circus/- live energy. 7 deadly sins!!!
9) CUTE LEPERS - Can't Stand Modern Music
Hit after hit. Super-catchy band! A modern powerpop classic! Very dancable! Amazing live-band!
10) Naked Raygun - All Rise
Definitely one of my favourites. Met these guys in Chicago in the mid 80s. Mindblowing! Really powerful record. Volume maxed every time!
11) BLACK MARKET BABY - Senseless Offering
Semi-obscure when it came out. Super catchy and underrated Washington D.C. punkband. Was later re-issued under different titles with different combinations of songs. A classic!
12) X - Los Angeles
Their first LP, produced by the DOORS' Ray Manzarek. He even plays keyboard on a few songs on this. All hits!

Danger!man - Never Black Never White
Danger!man are from Oslo, formed in 2009 (although all members have been around much longer than that and have previously played with a number of other bands such as So Much Hate, Life... But How To Live It? , Bannlyst, Barn Av Regnbuen, Drunk, 2.20, Boyen Beng etc...) and are influenced by early classic punk rock and 80's hardcore.
They feature a line up of St. Faen (vocals), Roger (guitar/vocals), Tom (bass/vocals) and Finn Erik (drums). They've released a couple of albums on Sjakk Matt Plater/Boss Tunage, The Blame Game came out in 2010 and Kaos Conspiracy followed in 2012 (this is a split lp with Germany's The Bone Idles).
They recently released another split album, this time with fellow Norwegians Lucky Malice, called Handicap and it's from this release that today's song is taken. You can download all these releases for free here : http://www.dangerman.no/. If you're going to Wonkfest 4 next month you'll be able to catch them live.
This is Never Black Never White.....
