Bad Mojos - H Bomb

  

  Bad Mojos (https://www.facebook.com/badmojos), the lo-fi garage punk trio from Berne in Switzerland make their 4th Just Some Punk Songs appearance today with a track from a fuzztastic new album titled Songs That Make You Want To Die.   I was trying to think of a way of describing them that's better than my usual simplistic "Spits inspired" shtick but I can't think of a better way than what's on their Bandcamp page... "three Anti-chord chainsaw punk rockers that makes you wanna kick your boss in the balls and piss on a cop car."

  

  The album's a generous helping of 17 tasty treats; catchy garage rockers about dangerous driving nazis, voices in your head leading you to commit murder, Charles Manson, dying aliens, hunting down fascists etc... Bad Mojos - Police Car

  Bad Mojos are the Spits influenced lo-fi garage punks from Bern, Switzerland, who formed in 2015 and who've appeared on here a couple of times previously. They return today with a song from their upcoming debut album, it's titled I Hope You OD and it'll be out on Voodoo Rhythm Records on December 21st https://www.voodoorhythm.com/

  The album will consist if 10 tracks, song titles include Commit A Crime, I Wanna Be Dead, Everybody Hates Me and the titular I Hope You OD. It sounds as though it's gonna be great fun (in a bad taste kinda way). This is the first video from the album, happily their sound doesn't appear to have changed much over the years, it's still catchy as hell and leaves me gagging to hear the full lp.   In a groundhog day kinda way, today I'm bringing you another super cool band from Switzerland who've got a new release out on No Front Teeth Records. This time it's the turn of Bad Mojos, a Lofi-Weirdo-Retardo-Punk outfit that I came across just over a year ago and who I posted a very uninformative update about here : http://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.co.uk/2015/08/bad-mojos-if-i-were-you.html

  So what have I learnt about them in the past 14 months? Not a lot to be honest. They had a bunch of really good songs that NFT bunched together on the Punx Faggots Freaks 7" and now the same label has released their debut album, Passout City. Bad Mojos - If I were you

 This is going to be a short intro as I know pretty much nothing about these guys but here goes.....

  Bad Mojos are a trio of black balaclava clad reprobates who claim to sound like The Spits (fair enough) and Beethoven (that must be on the songs I haven't heard yet!). They play trashy but oh so catchy punk music and have several songs on Youtube which they say will be out soon on No Front Teeth Records (Possibly called Punx Faggots Freaks?). They might come from Basel, Switzerland?

  Aside from that I know sod all. Fortunately that doesn't matter as their music speaks for itself , I'm sure more info will be forthcoming shortly. Have a listen and see what you think, this one's called If I Were You.....
