Big Life are a melodic hardcore punk band from Detroit, Michigan who feature a line up of Ryan Allen (guitar/vocals), Sean Gauvreau (bass), Dan Nixon (vocals) & Jordan Vonzynda (drums).
They've previously released a couple of eps and they feature on here today with a new track which is a cover of a Hüsker Dü classic.
The song originally appeared on Hüsker Dü's 1984 album Zen Arcade and I think it's fair to say that Big Life do it justice. It's available as a name your price download : https://biglifehc.bandcamp.com/track/something-i-learned-today
This is Something I Learned Today...
Something I learned todayBlack and white is always grayLooking through the windowpaneI'm not inside your brain, your brain
Something I learned todayYield to the right of wayStopping at a four-way signSomeone else's rules, not mine, not mine
Something I learned todayNever look straight in the sun's raysLetting all the sunshine inCan't remember where I've been, I've been
Something I learned todaySomething I learned todaySomething I learned todaySomething I learned todaySomething I learned todaySomething I learned todaySomething I learned todaySomething I learned today
