Back in 2018 I featured excellent Melbourne band Ubik on here and mentioned they were members of Masses, Agents Of Abhorance and Red Red Krovvy. I also played a Red Red Krovvy song on a show in May of that year (https://www.mixcloud.com/mick-fletcher/just-some-punk-songs-010518/) but I'm pretty sure I've not actually posted anything by them. That'll change today.
They're a trio from Australia who've been together for 9 years and they've released a couple of singles and a very impressive 2017 Self Titled album (https://heltaskeltarecords.bandcamp.com/album/red-red-krovvy-lp). Their "secret weapon" is vocalist Ashleigh Wyatt (who's also in the aforementioned Ubik). She's a force of nature, a toxic spitball of venomous anger. More than able support is provided by Ben Warnock (guitar) and Adam Ritchie (drums). Their sound is instantly recognisable but refreshingly all their own. They're influenced by the best the late 70's/early 80's had to offer but sound contemporaneous rather than dated.
And they've a new album on the way...
It'll be titled Managing and it's out on the 15th December via Helta Skelta Records (UK/EURO DISTRO: La Vida Es Un Mus US DISTRO: Total Punk). You can pre order the vinyl here : https://heltaskeltarecords.bigcartel.com/product/red-red-krovvy-managing-lp-preorder
There's a couple of teaser tracks streaming : https://heltaskeltarecords.bandcamp.com/album/managing-lp
This is an eruption of frustration titled Despise The Rich...
