Hi Fi Spitfires - Night Raid

A band today who formed in 2008 in Sunderland in the North East of England and who's sound has been described as being somewhere between Give 'Em Enough Rope and Inflammable Material.

Hi Fi Spitfires are a 3 piece who feature members who have been in various other bands including The Lurkers, Angelic Upstarts, Red London, Loaded 44 etc... Steve Straughan (guitar / lead vocals), Nelly (drums) and Neil Newton, who replaced Dean Liddle (bass) in 2012.

Their first release was The 11th Hour ep which was recorded after just 11 hours practice and this was followed by 2010's debut album England Screaming. There then followed a split release with Argentinian band Desahogo and 2014 saw album number 2, Nightraid, from which today's song is taken.

Wearing their influences proudly on their sleeves (Sex Pistols, Clash, US Bombs, Rancid etc), this will go down very well with anyone who loves '77 era punk rock. It's called Nightraid.....
