Vampire Slumber Party (Feat Frankie Stubbs) - The Call From Tacoma

I do like a bit of Vampire Slumber Party (https://www.facebook.com/vampireslumberparty). The London pop punk outfit are headed up by Yusuf Laher (vocals/guitar/drums) and I featured a song by them from my favourite release of theirs (thus far), here :  https://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2023/03/vampire-slumber-party-vincent-van-go-go.html

That release was a self titled album from 2023 and it definitely rewarded repeat listening as the songs seeped into your consciousness with me pretty much playing them on a loop on Youtube.

So I've got high hopes for the upcoming album, Holes. It'll be out on April 9th and there'll be a variant of it on a cool looking transparent bright orange & sunset yellow cassette - via Cat's Claw Records.

There's been a drip feed of singles from the album which you can check out here :  https://vampireslumberparty.bandcamp.com/

This latest single features a guest appearance by one of the UK's greatest vocalists Frankie Stubbs (the Leatherface frontman is currently a member of new Sunderland band Roach Squad and sung on this song on their debut album https://roachsquad.bandcamp.com/track/i-wonder). Also featuring is Closey Amy from UK pop skate punk band Zypmouth (https://zypmouth.bandcamp.com/music) on vocals & bass.

This is The Call From Tacoma...

Vampire Slumber Party - Vincent Van Go-Go

I'd rather cut my ears off then hear your voice again...

Here's a new song that's been getting repeat plays over the last couple of days. It's a catchy as fuck earworm by South London band Vampire Slumber Party (https://www.facebook.com/vampireslumberparty).

The trio play "pop punk with fangs" and they're preparing to release their debut, Self Titled, album. It'll be available via ltd edition cassette and digital download on the 17th March via Brassneck Records

The lead single is about that point in a relationship where everything seems to fall apart, where the room isn't big enough for the both of you. There's something a little special about the backing vocals on here (courtesy of Pippa Krishnan from Werecats) that has me counting down the days till the album's release. The song's called Vincent Van Go-Go...
