Shitty Life - Weirdos

   If I was to ask you what was your favourite album of 2018 so far and your answer was something like No Problem - Let God Sort Em Out then I'd come to the conclusion that not only do you have a great taste in music but that you're probably already aware that Shitty Life have just released a new album. If however you aren't yet aware, be prepared to be blown away.

  Shitty Life are a 5 piece ( Iggy Tassoni (vocals), Lorenzo Belli (guitar), Lorenzo Piffer (guitar) , Nocciola (bass),  Luoca (drums) ) hardcore punk band from Parma, Italy, who featured on here last year with a fabulous cover of The Victims' Television Addict (https://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2017/06/shitty-life-television-addict.html). That was the flip side of the Faith single and since then the've released a very impressive 6 track S/T ep before returning with new album Switch Off Your Head.

  Picking just one track to highlight wasn't easy as pretty much every song on the album would do the job but I'm going with Weirdos...

Shitty Life - Television Addict

 

  A cover version today! The song you're getting below was originally released by Perth (Western Australia) punk band The Victims in the late 70's. It was the A side of their debut single and is one of punk's greatest songs. (The B side of that single was equally as good and featured on this blog back in Feb 2014  http://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.co.uk/2014/02/the-victims-im-flipped-out-over-you.html).

  Shitty Life are an Italian garage punk band from Parma who released a couple of demos in early 2015 and have been pretty prolific ever since. April 2016 saw them put out a 7 track s/t 12" which featured some of those demo songs and there was also a split 7" with Just Some Punk Songs' favourite D D Owen. March of this year brought us the Faith single (today's song is the flip side of that single) and April saw them release the 6 track S/L ep.
