Ravagers - Razor Love

So, what was the most popular song on last night's Just Some Punk Songs show? Probably this...

Ravagers (https://www.facebook.com/ravagersgang) are the Baltimore rock n rollers comprising of Alex Hagen (Vocals/Guitar), Matt Gabs (Guitar/Backing Vocals), Sam Hariss (Bass/Backing Vocals) & Ray Peters (Drums). They've been around for over a decade and previously featured on here a couple of times  https://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2021/04/ravagers-down-that-road.html

They've a new album on the way via Spaghetty Town Records (USA) and Wanda Records (Europe). It'll be titled On The Loose and it's out on April 5th. They recently released a first single from it called Dogs and you can find that here : https://ravagers.bandcamp.com/track/dogs

They'll also be touring Europe to promote the album

The 2nd single from the album is a double A sided affair. It features both "a snotty, high-octane anti-love anthem that cuts through the noise with a jagged, Motorhead-style riff and walking bass lines" and a flip side that "taps into a darker, more sinister energy with a riff that could have come straight off the Damned's first album."

This one's an anthemic stomper called Razor Love...

RAVAGERS - Shake the Reaper (Guest Review By Ralph J Rivera)

  Another one from Ralph today...

Baltimore, Maryland's, "RAVAGERS" (https://www.facebook.com/ravagersgang) have been on my radar since 2013. There was something about them that reminded me of one of my favourite bands ever from that city "The Beatings". They had that same grimy, Punk Rock & Roll aesthetic that only comes from living that life.

After dropping one of my favourite songs/videos from last year "Down That Road", the boys have followed it up with what I'm going on record as saying will be my "Rock & Roll Album Of The Year" for 2022! "Badlands" https://ravagers.bandcamp.com/album/badlands is EVERYTHING I love about this kind of music!

If you miss those early 2000 days when bands like American Heartbreak, D Generation, Libertine, NY Loose and Trash Brats were stomping everyone's ideas of what "Rock" should sound like into the ground - well HERE'S your new favourite band! 10 songs that could have come out in 1984, 2001 or right f'ing now! This is as classic and as timeless as it gets in 2022 my friends.

If vinyl is your thing then head to Spaghetty Town Records (US) or Wanda Records (Europe)

Ravagers - Down That Road

Ravagers (https://www.facebook.com/ravagersgang) are a street rock n roll band from the wastelands of Baltimore. I've played them on the show before but don't think I've had them on here so I'll rectify that today.

They've a new album on the way, it'll be titled Badlands and it's going to be out in September on Spaghetty Town Records (https://spaghettytownrecords.bigcartel.com/). They released a track from it last year called Nasty Night which was an anthemic ripper suggesting the album would be pretty damn special. Those high hopes have been raised even higher with the release of single number 2.

Accompanied with a recommendation to turn the volume up loud, it's a catchy rock n roll singalong that'll lodge itself firmly inside your brain. Think Animal Boy era Ramones crossed with Dead Boys and you won't be a million miles away. You can get both singles here :  https://ravagers.bandcamp.com/track/down-that-road
