MESS - Fire Fire Fire!

Mess (https://www.facebook.com/MESStheterribles/) are the UK '82 influenced oi band from Guadalajara, Mexico, who featured on here almost exactly a year ago (https://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2020/08/mess-street-boys.html) with a track from their very promising debut ep, Intercity (https://messtheterribles.bandcamp.com/releases).

They return today with another highly inflammable song in the form of a new single. It's the first to be taken from an upcoming sophomore ep which will be titled Fuego, Fuego, Fuego. It's the sound of a band at the top of their game, still displaying plenty of their trademark Blitz spirit and ready to scorch your ears. In a year that I've been slightly disappointed in the lack of top quality oi releases, these guys are burning bright.

The song's called Fire Fire Fire!

The streets are burning now The lads are ready now The conflict is outside This is no time to hide People are on a dead end street with nothing to compete No more future for you No more Jobs for you ... now Fire fire fire in the city Fire fire fire fire on our streets You aren't going to win No money coming in The government is lying No time to be crying There is blood on the floor What are you waiting for No chance to immigrate You are old its too late ... now

MESS - Street Boys

Not to be confused with any other bands with a similar name, Mess (https://www.facebook.com/MESStheterribles/) are a new band from Guadalajara, Mexico featuring members of Homnos and Sparrow 66. They play early 80's influenced oi music very much in the vein of Blitz. They recently released an excellent debut 5 track digital ep titled Intercity   https://messtheterribles.bandcamp.com/releases and it's impressed enough to get an October re release on 12" via top punk & oi label Mendeku Diskak.   https://mendekudiskak.bandcamp.com/album/021-mess-intercity-12ep

If you like your music to be both gritty and anthemic then you'll find plenty to enjoy here. The ep's fast paced and catchy with all the songs clocking in around the 2 minute mark. It's a calling card that'll leave you wanting more. This is the longest track and probably the one that'll remind you the most of Blitz. It's called Street Boys...
