Mum - Luka

  Mum are another of the many cool Australian bands currently releasing great new punk music. They're a 4 piece featuring Lauren (vocals/bass), Allie (vocals/guitar), Sam (guitar/bass) and Mia (drums).   Despite this being their debut release, the members have previously featured in bands such as Photogenic, Basic Human, Draino etc... Their sound is angry lo-fi female fronted punk, I've seen them compared to The Rezillos, X Ray Spex and Bikini Kill but I'd say a better comparison would be with someone like fellow Aussies Cold Meat (although maybe not as abrasive).
