The Elite are from Buffalo, New York and describe their sound as being oi/hardcore punk. To be honest, I hear much more hardcore than oi but tags are pretty much irrelevant when the music's this good. This is the lead song on the demo, the opening few seconds remind me of the intro to Sleaford Mods' TCR but this is just a fleeting impression as it soon kicks up a gear into a melodic hardcore banger that promises great things. Similar to the highly rated ep by Petite (https://petitepdx.bandcamp.com/album/ii-remastered) that I featured on here a while back, The Elite have that happy knack of mixing hooks, melody and aggression to produce a sound that should please pretty much everyone who visits this blog.
