Viagra Boys — The Bog Body

  

  You've quite possibly already heard today's song. It's certainly been viewed plenty on Youtube despite only being unleashed yesterday. It's by Stockholm post punkers Viagra Boys (https://www.facebook.com/viagraboys) and it's their first Just Some Punk Songs blog appearance since 2022 (https://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2022/04/viagra-boys-aint-no-thief.html).

  They're a band you never quite know what you're going to get and I'm sure their upcoming album viagr aboys will be a delight when it comes out on their own Shrimptech Enterprises label April 25th.  https://shop.vboysstockholm.com/

  This is the 3rd single from the album (I preferred 1st single Man Made Of Meat to the follow up Uno II but both hinted at a diverse and very fine release) and it got inside my head immediately. I had to share it despite it no doubt being shared by everyone else and his dog. 

  Fun, catchy and just that little bit different from everything else that's around at the moment, this is The Bog Body...

  Yesterday I posted one of the most popular songs that I played on this week's show. It went down a storm in the chatroom but I'd say that there was another song that went down even better. This one...

  I probably don't really need to introduce Viagra Boys (https://www.facebook.com/viagraboys), they're the Stockholm post punk band who formed in 2015 and seem to be on a very rapid upward trajectory. Both their albums (Street Worms & Welfare Jazz) were excellent listens and hopes for their third, Cave World, are very high indeed. Especially now we've heard one of the tracks from it.   A dancefloor stomper dripping in attitude and humour, this is a prime example of how to stoke up anticipation for a new lp, it's called Ain't No Thief...
