Ricky Rochelle - The Rose Window (Guest Review By Ralph J Rivera)

The Ricky Rochelle Hit Factory keeps chugging along in 2025. His newest single "The Rose Window" is also his most ambitious effort so far.

The song speeds along at a kind of Hard Rock nearly Metal pace. But there are surprises in store! The song will stop & start on a day, shifting into some outstanding vocals from Ricky and dare I say almost "Techno" beats. This song will totally catch you off guard. I had to listen to it a couple times just to grasp everything going on.

This was a collaboration with Billy Pfister who handles the guitars, bass & keyboards while Ricky croons his heart out and smashes some drums. "The Rose Window" is actually my favorite song so far in this ongoing project. We're up to 5 singles already & Summer's right around the corner. Stripe up & get those Chucks moving to this banger of a song!

On the cathedral, there’s a beautiful window
Shaped like a mystical rose
With illustrations telling tender tales
Those stained-glass visions, so intricate up close

And that’s our love, that’s our love
A thousand beautiful heartbeats
That’s the rose window, it’s our love

The daylight through the stained-glass changes
Just like love changes in time
But you and I will stay picturesque
If you keep your hand in mine

And that’s our love, that’s our love
A thousand beautiful heartbeats
That’s the rose window, it’s our love

Through every storm, we’re unbreakable
Devotion’s our greatest blessing
Our bond is mighty but love is fragile
To protect it is love’s true lesson

And that’s our love, that’s our love
A thousand beautiful heartbeats
That’s the rose window

And that’s our love, that’s our love
A thousand beautiful heartbeats
That’s the rose window, it’s our love

And that’s our love, that’s our love
A thousand beautiful heartbeats
That’s the rose window, it’s our love

And that’s our love, that’s our love
A thousand beautiful heartbeats
That’s the rose window, it’s our love

That’s the rose window, it’s our love

Ricky Rochelle - Ghost of Dee Dee (Guest Review By Ralph J Rivera)

Well my friend Ricky Rochelle has just dropped single #4 in his 2025 series. This one is called "Ghost Of Dee Dee" and it's his strongest song so far in this endeavor.  https://rickyrochelle.bandcamp.com/track/ghost-of-dee-dee

The music is a perfect blend of his new direction. The "Pop" sensibilities are there in the vocals and structure while also maintaining a fair amount of "Ramonescore". The lyrics are an amazing tribute to one of the best songwriters in the Ramones. Using his song titles to weave a heartfelt peon, you can tell how much Dee Dee meant to Ricky Rochelle. Stellar production as always by his writing partner Gregg Gavitt who also handles the bass duties on this one.

Besides being my friend I'm also a huge fan Of Ricky's. His solo work is constantly evolving as to what can be done within the "Pop Punk" genre. I put him in the same category as Kurt Baker. Someone who started out playing in a straight up Pop Punk band but also had the ability to write songs & music that transcended that bubble. It's rare that an artist can leave an established band and carve out a successful solo career. Ricky Rochelle is on his way to stardom.

Here's the Youtube clip for "Ghost Of Dee Dee".

Ricky Rochelle - Imagine Being Eric (Guest Review By Ralph J Rivera)

Man after all the non-stop craziness of this past week this is just what I needed. One of the best songwriters in the "Pop Punk Bubble" Ricky Rochelle is dropping what will be the first in a series of new digital singles this Friday. They are gonna be available on his newly formed "Rochelle Records" but for now you can get all his previous releases at this site - https://rickyrochelle.storenvy.com/

So single number one is called "Imagine Being Eric" and I was kinda hoping it would be about Eric Trump but no it's about a lovable loner who lives with his cats. This sees another progression in Ricky's ever evolving sound. It takes us back to the days when Wreckless Eric, Elvis Costello and XTC were dropping amazing 45's weekly. As a product of the 80's I grew up listening to this kind of music so I'm 100% on board with this direction.

It's a quirky combination of intertwined guitar & keyboard melody with Ricky's beautiful vocal tone. I'm sorry my friend but if it was 1980 you'd be a Pop Star, all over UK & European TV. But I thank you for making music that needs to be heard today. All you have to do is look at our new President to see where being angry all the time gets you. All alone at 4 in the morning banging out tweets.

Here's the brand new Ricky Rochelle single "Imagine Being Eric". LISTEN! ENJOY!
