Meadow Burials - Lost Soul

  

  One of my favourite recent releases is the new ep by Bath hardcore punks Meadow Burials. Lining up with Nick Wiltone (vocals/guitar), Paul Fosbury (bass) and Jack Taylor (drums) they list amongst their influences the likes of Black Flag, The Bronx, Circle Jerks, Misfits etc... 

  The ep is called Poems and it's a bit of a bruiser. 5 incendiary tracks in just over 6 minutes, with the members recording their parts separately, isolated at home with the songs then being produced & mixed by previous drummer Ben Turner.

Meadow Burials - The Modern Age

  Meadow Burials are a 3 piece hardcore punk band from Bath featuring Ghost Of The Avalanche vocalist & guitarist Nick Wiltone alongside Paul Fosbury (bass) and Ben Turner (drums). Their influences include the likes of Black Flag, Crass, The Bronx, Bad Breeding, Raspberry Bulbs etc. They released a 5 track demo last year called Preface and now have returned with a fleshed out sound on new ep The Modern Age.

  The ep blasts through 3 tracks, none passing the 1 minute mark, which explore both the current state of the world (climate change, corrupt politicians, inequality, the ongoing global pandemic etc) and how we consume the wealth of information now at our fingertips. What's the truth, what's lies and misinformation? The more things change, the more they stay the same.
