No Brains - Cheese Pizza

I think I've commented before it's easy to view the punk scene as a lot of old people looking back nostalgically at the music they were discovering in their school playgrounds. And there's lots of those people about but happily there's also lots of us hungrily devouring the new punk music that's being served up today (and eagerly looking forward to what's coming next). As well as straight up old school style punk rock, there's also plenty of exciting bands pushing genre boundaries here in the UK (Girls In Synthesis, Idles, Bob Vylan, Sleaford Mods, Riskee And The Ridicule and many many more).

There's also a nice upsurge in youngsters forming bands and learning their craft in the public eye. The youngest I've featured being the singer with Unicorn Fart Sugar (https://hobopope.bandcamp.com/album/unicorn-fart-sugar) who may end up being a Domestics lone off side lockdown project (but hopefully not). Over in The States Color Killer (https://colorkiller.bandcamp.com/) are doing very well for themselves. It's something that should be encouraged if the punk scene is going to stay relevant.

No Brains are a trio of enthusiastic 14 year olds from Loughton, Essex who write and record their own music and who've recently released their first demo. It's a fun pop punk song that was recorded in their drummer's bedroom and mixed and mastered by the band. It's a teenager anthem about their favourite food and it's very promising. A band worth keeping an eye on and one that deserves your support.

  This is Cheese Pizza...
