I think it's fair to say that Ghoulies were one of the more obscure bands to appear in the Just Some Punk Songs Best Of 2020 chart (https://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2020/12/just-some-punk-songs-top-50-songs-of.html) with this beauty : https://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2020/03/ghoulies-unpack-your-bags.html).
They're from Perth and feature members of Aborted Tortoise and Kitchen People (full line up : Indigo Foster Tuke (synth/vocals), Alec Thomas (bass/vocals/guitar), Charles Wickham vocals/guitar) & Alex Patching drums/vocals)) and happily they've recently released a sophomore ep which impresses as much as debut Flat Earth did.
It's titled Reprogram and once again we're treated to some rather brief and extremely fun cuts of egg punk. 7 tracks in under 10 minutes that'll have you bouncing around with a smile on your face. I've just noticed they've a rescheduled gig lined up to launch the 7" on Saturday 12th June at Clancys Fishpub in Fremantle alongside the awesome Cold Meat and Church Group (who I'm going to check out after I finish typing this).
The 7" is on Goodbye Boozy Records and it's rather limited so get those pre orders in quickly. You can also download it name your price : https://ghouliesperth.bandcamp.com/album/reprogram
Strap yourself in, this is synth punk at it's frantic best. It's called Petey Jones' Locker...
