ROTTEN FOXES - Get Out Of My Head
(Just Pauly Photography)
When I posted a track from Brighton hardcore punks Rotten Foxes' Arrive, Raise Hell, Leave ep last summer (https://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2019/06/rotten-foxes-over-ropes.html) I mentioned that it was possibly their last release as they were shortly disbanding. Today I bring mixed tidings. Sadly they've reconfirmed that they aren't getting back together but to sweeten that pill, they've just released one final three track ep. It's aptly titled We've Got Nothing Left, it was recorded on the 4th anniversary of their first ever show and I'm very happy to report that it very definitely isn't a case of them sticking out a few substandard songs that they had left kicking around. All 3 are great. Fast, loud and very catchy, you can snap them up as a name your price download here : https://rottenfoxes.bandcamp.com/album/we-ve-got-nothing-left
Track 1 is called Dehumanised (I'll play it on Sunday's Just Some Punk Songs show) and it's a frantic opener that would lead to plenty of sweat (and probably plenty of bruises) if they ever played it live (I'm not sure if they ever did). The closing track is the shortest on offer and I'm still trying to work out all the lyrics bar "leave me alone..." but it's a fine swansong. The meat in the sandwich is the one they've made a video for. Another song that screams leave me alone from a band you'll wish hadn't gone away. This is Get Out Of My Head...
