This Is Not A Drill - That House Is In England
It's Sunday, which means it's the Just Some Punk Songs show day. An hour of new punk music, 26 killer tracks including the song I'm posting here today. You can listen to the show at 8pm (gmt) here : http://mixlr.com/global-punk-radio/
This Is Not A Drill are an aggressive political 3 piece punk band from South Yorkshire & North Derbyshire. They line up with Lee McCormick (guitar/lead vocals), Brian Damage (bass/backing vocals) and Jake Parker (drums/backing vocals). Their first release was 2017's 8 track Hysteria/Hypocrisy/Lies. Last month they returned with a new album titled Fight Like A Girl, 10 more powerful diy blasts of angry punk which takes aim at hateful white "victims", sexual inequality, turning a blind eye, the rise of the far right and it all ends with a cover of Sheffield band Irrational Act's Community. It's hard hitting and highly recommended and available to stream here : https://thisisnotadrill.bandcamp.com/album/fight-like-a-girl

This song questions the need to fly the flag and it's called That House Is In England...
Walking down the street
In this gracious land
I saw a red and white flag
And now I understand…
That house is in …England
Without that flag we wouldn’t know
That house is in …England
Without that flag we wouldn’t know
We wouldn’t know.
My neighbour’s house
Has a large pole
Is it Irony?
Or their heart and soul?
