Quinn Anderson (Vocals), Sean Kelly (Bass), Wiley Willis (Drums) & Bobby Shields (Guitars) make up Chicago quartet What's Your Damage? (https://www.facebook.com/whatsyourdamagechicago). They return to Just Some Punk Songs for the third time today. Unfortunately, as they're calling it their last album, I fear it maybe their swansong?
If that is the case then the album's aptly titled. It's called Concluded, features 8 tracks of their trademark punk/post-punk/new wave influenced sound and it's available now as a name your price download : https://whatsyourdamage.bandcamp.com/album/concluded
I've previously mentioned how I'm a fan of Quinn's distinctive vocals and she's still impressing on this release. The songs deal with subjects such as the pressure to strive for the perfect 10 body, the occupation of Palestine, feeling trapped and alone in one's own mind etc. Weighty topics from a band that will be missed if indeed this is their final release.
This track is probably the highlight for me, it's another scathing political commentary and it's called Democracy...
