You may remember that last month I posted a song by Sydney lo-fi garage punks Satanic Togas (https://www.facebook.com/thesatanictogas666/), it was taken from their Underworld Cassingle Club ep and I mentioned that there was an album on the way.
That album is now with us and it's every bit as good as expected. It's titled X-Ray Vision, boasts a dozen cool as fuck trashy budget rockers and it's available on several of the best labels and distros around; Warttmann Inc.(Aus), Goodbye Boozy (Europe), Slovenly Recordings, Total Punk/Floridas Dying & Goner Records (USA). The vinyl version of the album looks to be available in a few weeks and seems pretty limited so get in early if you want one. If you want the digital version then go here (if cassettes are your thing there's 33 available on puke pink) : https://warttmanninc.bandcamp.com/album/x-ray-vision-lp
Ploughing a similar furrow to other lo-fi heroes such as Buck Biloxi and Kool & The Gang Bangers, this is very impressive. You don't need a big budget, lots of flashy equipment and a name producer to make great music. You just need to go for it and hopefully you can produce something as good as X-Ray Vision.
The album is packed with "hits" but the song I'm featuring today is the closing track. It's about the last days of man, the machines are marching on and maybe we need a muscle bound Austrian to save us. It's called Terminator 2...
