The Anti-Bodies - The Losers' Club
Earlier this year The Anti-Bodies released a beautiful song inspired by a classic episode of the Twilight Zone (https://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2019/02/the-anti-bodies-ninety-years-without.html), today they return with another song that's more of a return to their bouncy, upbeat pop punk roots but is no less impressive. The band are from Buffalo, New York and they line up with Izzy Deadly (Vocals/Guitar), Ernie Farnshnard (Guitar), Doug White (Bass) and Orval (Drums). They play punk rock songs about life, love, the undead, beings from outerspace and secret laboratory experiments gone wrong and they're great fun. Halloween's almost upon us so what better way to celebrate than with a song about the 7 misfits from Derry, Maine who fought everyone's favourite evil clown, Pennywise. Inspired by Stephen King's 1986 classic novel, It (and the subsequent movies), it's a catchy tune with creepy lyrics about an entity that lives down the storm drain and reemerges every 27 years to prey upon the young. This is The Losers' Club...
We are The Losers Club
Hailing from our hometown Derry, Main
We're gonna put an end to that clown in the storm drain
We are The Losers Club
We've come to conquer our fears
We hope IT won't be back in 27 years
Preys on the young it seems
A demonic entity
The neighbors heard George scream
Left in the gutter to bleed
Horribly...
Remember The Barrens, our bikes and The House On Neibolt
The Rock Fight, The Deadlights and the ancient Ritual
But now we've reached adulthood and IT called us back home
We took a blood oath so c'mon gang lets go!
Be True, Be Brave, Stand
All The Rest Is Darkness...
