Nancy No Shoes - Nil By Mouth
Way back in May of last year I posted a song by new South Wales hardcore punks Nancy No Shoes and said that it was part of a debut ep (https://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2018/05/nancy-no-shoes-crimes-against-humonarchy.html). Over 12 months later the ep still hasn't surfaced but another song from it has. It's another winner so I'm banging on about it today.
The band feature's Jimbob from Pizzatramp and Nicola from Brassick and so it's probably no surprise that their music is a full on aural assault. Both songs thus far unleashed are impressive beasts indeed. Whereas the previous one dealt with the removal of Windsor's homeless from the streets in order to keep them out of sight of the world's media during the Royal wedding, this new song is another political broadside, this time about the social care system. It highlights how it's been torn apart and sold off and how people and families are extorted whilst staff are overworked, underpaid and undervalued. It's about how heartbreaking it is seeing people making fortunes out of the suffering of the elderly whilst those in power sit by apathetically.
They promise the ep will be out soon so hopefully I'm not posting the 3rd song from it next year. I'm sure this will whet your appetites, it's called Nil By Mouth...
