Pinch Points - Stranger Danger
So it's that time of the week when the many thousands of rabid Just Some Punk Songs show listeners start wondering "I wonder what great new punk releases Mick will be featuring on tomorrow's show!" In an attempt to whet their appetites (and to woo any new listeners) I'm posting a (different) song from one of the bands that'll feature. Fans of the band might notice I nicked one of their photos to advertise the show (https://www.facebook.com/events/449173645663091/). Why this particular band to advertise the show? Because their new album is bloody wonderful....
Pinch Points are one of several Australian bands to feature on this week's show (most shows seem to feature several Australian bands as they have one of the best music scenes around at the moment). They're a 4 piece featuring Acacia Coates (vocals/bass), Adam Smith (vocals/guitar), Jordan Oakley (guitar) and Issy Orsini (drums). They tag themselves turbo-punk, they play an energetic amalgamation of herky jerky post punk and garage, they're more inventive than your traditional verse/chorus/verse bands. Expect angular guitars and vocals spat out with lashings of venom. Expect to love them.
The new album's called Moving Parts, it's available on vinyl from Roulette Records (Aus), Burger Records (USA) and Six Tonnes De Chair (Europe) as well as digitally : https://pinchpoints.bandcamp.com/album/moving-parts-lp

This is Stranger Danger...
This song sounds like it has some heavy influences from The Feederz. Great tune.
