The Hip Priests - Loose
The "big hit" with the folk in the chatroom on this week's Just Some Punk Songs show (the saved version of which will be uploaded to Mixcloud on Sunday after it's been aired a couple of times in the Far East) was a cover version of a song by The Stooges which featured on their classic 1970 album, Fun House.
The last time The Hip Priests featured on here was back in February (https://justsomepunksongs.blogspot.com/2018/02/the-hip-priests-no-time-like-right-now.html). Some bands go years without reappearing but The Hip Priests are one of those mega prolific bands that release enough great new material they could probably feature every month. The garage rock n rollers have one hell of an impressive back catalogue and it's not always easy to keep up with everything but you can find a veritable treasure trove (including today's featured song) here : https://thehippriests1.bandcamp.com/
Other news, including details of their upcoming UK gigs with The Dwarves can be found here : https://www.facebook.com/thehippriests/
From the hot new split 7" with Swedish band Scumbag Millionaire (it only came out a few days ago but has sold out already), this is one hell of a rockin' song. It's called Loose....
