Break Anchor - I'm Sorry
A week ago I posted a song by The Suicide Machines and ended optimistically hoping that maybe they would release some new material one day. If you're also hoping for new material maybe you should check out vocalist Jay Navarro's new band, Break Anchor.
After leaving Suicide Machines, Jay formed Hellmouth but he also more recently (2011) hooked up with Cris Golan (The Story So Far/King For A Day), Kyle Green and Dan Stover (both from Seized Up) to play a type of old school pop punk inspired by the likes of Crimpshine, Operation Ivy and Green Day.
You can check out some of their music here : https://breakanchor.bandcamp.com/
Earlier this year they released an album, on Paper + Plastick, called In A Van Down By The River which attracted rave reviews and the odd comparison to Hot Water Music (largely thanks to the duel vocals from Jay and Kyle plus the "fast paced harmonies and gritty choruses").
The song I'm posting today is taken from that album but it also graces a very worthy 80 track compilation album released in aid of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Definitely worth checking out, you can find it here : http://laurenmills.bandcamp.com/album/hope-a-compilation-for-the-american-foundation-for-suicide-prevention.
This is I'm Sorry........
This is Great. The singer sounds like Greg Attanito from the Bouncing Souls.Love it.
