Conmen - Nice Nice

Conmen are the Boston, Massachusetts 5 piece who's new album, Get Loose, seems to been getting plenty of love. Deserved love it is too as it's bloody good. The band is made up of Conman (vocals), Chazz (guitar), Danimal (guitar), Jamie (bass) and Kakos (drums). They released the Too Tough To Dance Demo as long ago as 2014 and followed it up a year later with a self titled ep (described as boneheaded punk that fits somewhere between The Marked Men and The Spits). Now they're back with a debut album and that early promise has been more than fulfilled. It's pop punk mixed up with power pop, it reminds me a little of cool bands such as Corner Boys, Tommy And The Commies and TV Crime (bands that play spiky pop songs that stick in your head). It's on Rock 'N' Roll Disgrace Records and you can check it out here :  https://conmen.bandcamp.com/album/get-loose

I may have missed them but there doesn't seem to be much in the way of reviews online yet for Get Loose (I'm sure this will change as more people realise how wonderful it is) but I noticed Fun With Smack Records advertising the vinyl version with the line "Boston's answer to the classic Good Vibrations label/Irish punk sound collide with the angst and raw power of early Ramones. Tough, sweet and catchy as hell..." A good description and a place to buy the ep   https://funwithsmackrecords.bigcartel.com/product/con-men-lp

This song about a girl is a great example of that tough/sweet combo, it's called Nice Nice...
