The hardest intros to write are the ones when I hear a song I like but know nothing about the band. Often Facebook comes to the rescue but occasionally, as with today's update, I'm on my own. Let's see what I can turn up.....
Hyäne are a powerful post punk band from Berlin who've recently released an impressive ep on Static Age Musik. In this instance it's "post punk for geeks who wear boots and sport shitty haircuts as opposed to the goth and eyeliner crowd." It was recorded and mixed by Tobias Lill and mastered by Daniel Husayn. They'll be playing the Nothing Nice To Say Fest in Berlin in April alongside a bunch of other great bands such as Accidente, Hank Wood And The Hammerheads, Sievehead, Gorilla Angreb etc....
